THREE UNDERAGE GIRLS RESCUED FROM FAILED JOURNEY TO GHANA
Three teenage girls who were being taken from Nigeria to Ghana for prostitution has been rescued by the Nigerian Immigration Service, Rivers State.
Sequel to their rescue, Mr AJ Kwasua, the NIS Comptroller, Rivers State said, a nursing mother who happens to be the recruiter has been arrested alongside with a transporter who facilitated the girls travel.
However, the teenage girls, two, 17 years from Rivers State, and one 16 years from Akwa Ibom disclosed that they agreed to travel to Ghana for prostitution.
Meanwhile, Kwasua, says the girls were rescued at the waterlines park in Portharcourt by the Anti-Human trafficking unit of the Command.
