Women Affairs Minister seeks Justice for Housemaid who was Tortured to Death
MINISTER OF WOMEN AFFAIRS SEEKS JUSTICE FOR HOUSEMAID WHO WAS TORTURED TO DEATH BY MISTRESS
The oppression and maltreatment of every girl child should be put to an end, just like every other persons, every girl child has equal right to live. Child Abuse is so devastating, over the years, teenage girls have been victims of emotional, physical and sexual abuse.
Meanwhile, a Guardian in Plateau State has bee reportedly killed her house help by pouring hot water on the girl’s buttocks.
It was gathered that, the Mistress who is a microbiologist poured hot water on the girl’s buttocks, the helpless girl who was rushed to the Teaching Hospital by sympathetic neighbors later gave up the ghost because of too much loss of blood.
While consoling the family of the bereaved child, the Minister of Women Affairs Mrs Pauline Tellen has called on the National President of Federation of Women Lawyers to punish the perpetrator and seek justice for the bereaved.
Condemning the act in Abuja, the Minister says it is a violation of the 2003, Child Rights Act and the offender should be punished accordingly.
