ASUU GRIEVE AS FEDERAL GOVERNMENT PAYS LECTURERS FOR 15-DAYS WORK

Nigerian university lecturers under the umbrella of the Academic Staff Union of University (ASUU) has lamented bitterly to the Federal Government for their decision to pay them a half-month salary for the month of October.
Meanwhile, one of the members of the Union’s National Executive Council says the idea of the half-month salary is allegedly from Dr Chris Ngige, Minister of Labour and Employment in collaboration with the Accountant General of the Federation.
Regarding this, the Minister, Dr Chris Ngige debunked the statement and says it was never his idea.
