Woman Arrested By NDLEA Over Cocaine Exportation

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, has arrested one Mrs Ajisegiri Kehinde Sidika at the the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos State over the attempt to export 400 grams of cocaine to Makkah, Saudi Arabia.

The 56-year-old widow and a mother of four attempted to travel to Saudi Arabia with the cocaine hidden in her footwear which was discovered by the National Drug Law Agency Operatives.

Mr Femi Babafemi, the spokesman of NDLEA who disclosed this also confirmed in a statement that Mrs Kehinde Sidika was restricted from exporting the cocaine on the 13th of November at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos State while trying to take a flight with the Qatar Airways.

In the same vein, Mr Femi added that anti-narcotics officers arrested traffickers who attempted to smuggle ecstasy tablets and Cannabis at the SAHCO. The suspects concealed the tablets in tubers of yam which were discovered by the officers.
