FOUR KILLED AS TROOPS BATTLE WITH GUNMEN
No fewer than four persons has been reportedly killed in a battle between hoodlums and the men of Nigeria Army on Saturday in Isuofia community, Afor-Uzo junction precisely in Anambra State.
Paul Nwosu, Commissioner for Information Anambea State, says the fierce battle took place at a check point when the gunmen opened fire on the men of the Nigeria Army.
Hoodlums has caused a lot of havoc in different Local Government Areas across the country, making people to live in fear and anxiety because of their incessant attacks.
However, the gallant officers were able to neutralise and kill four of the gang members, with fear, other members of the gang fled, leaving their Toyota Avenza which they used for the operation.
The State Government has assured all the residents of Anambra State of their safety during this Christmas period and beyond.
